Psychology Services in Southwest Florida
Dr. Bhatia offers individualized psychology services designed to meet your child's needs. The services vary based on individual needs and can include a comprehensive evaluation, individual therapy, and parent guidance. Therapy and evaluation services focus on fostering emotional growth, strengthening family relationships, and equipping children with lifelong coping strategies.
At Naples Behavioral Pediatric Therapy, Dr. Bhatia provides a range of services designed to help children, adolescents, and young adults succeed including:
-
Comprehensive psychological evaluations: Evaluations help identify developmental, cognitive, academic, emotional, and behavioral strengths and challenges; improve how parents, educators, physicians understand the child, and the individual to better understand themselves. The written report that follows can be used as a road map with recommendations for moving forward.
-
Partial assessment batteries: Dr. Bhatia can do partial testing (e.g., just IQ testing for gifted evaluations). Please contact the office to learn more.
-
Individual Child & Adolescent Therapy: Direct therapy sessions with children and teens, with parent collaboration as recommended in the treatment plan. Therapy helps individuals learn skills to better understand and manage anxiety, depression, stress, adjustment through life transitions, and more. Using age-appropriate and evidence-based approaches, Dr. Bhatia helps children and adolescents build the skills and resilience they need to meet their goals.
-
SPACE Therapy (Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions): A structured, evidenced-based 10-12-week parent-only program to reduce child anxiety and increase independence. This program has been shown to be as effective as individual therapy for reducing child anxiety and OCD and, in some cases, is the only way some children may receive the support they need (e.g., if they are unable or unwilling to participate in individual therapy). SPACE Therapy is available in-person in Naples, Florida and online in PSYPACT states.
-
Individual Therapy for College Students: Individual therapy addressing anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, while developing skills and resilience. Parent involvement only by consent. Please inquire about rates for college-aged individuals paying on their own.
-
Educational workshops and trainings: Dr. Bhatia offers workshops and trainings on her areas of expertise, including topics related to child development, mental and behavioral health, parenting, raising resilient children, and wellness.
